Application Manager's SDK - A Halloween Goody Bag of Features for Apps

Dave Weiss · September 12, 2026 · 5 min read

As a kid, wasn't Halloween the best? You trick or treated and filled your bag with candy. When you got home, you reached into the bag and pulled out a treat.

For Application Manager (AM) apps, the bag full of treats is called the Software Development Kit - the SDK.

There are so many good treats in the AM SDK! Whenever you need one for an app, you just reach in and pull it out.

Identity and Access

  • All AM apps authenticate with Single Sign On (SSO) using OAuth2.0 with PKCE.
  • The Lens - limits the data a user can see/edit.
  • Teams/Workspaces - assigns a user to a team and assigns Lens based on team attributes. Includes the ability to switch Team views with a click of a button.
  • Single Logout - logs the user out of all AM web apps simultaneously.
  • Deep link support on log in - you don't have to navigate to the main page of an app to log in; you can have a link to a particular page within an app, be directed to log in (if you're not already logged in), and once authenticated, you're returned back to the link you entered the app with.
  • User Invitations via email links or QR codes - Need to invite someone to be a user in an app? With the click of a button, fire off an email with a 1x use activation code. It can't be re-used or used by any other user, as it is tied to the email address it was sent to. Email links auto-expire after 7 days. QR codes are meant for in-person invitations and expire 5 minutes after they are created.

Instrumentation

  • Usage Telemetry - analytics data for user sessions
  • On-demand Feedback - floating feedback button users can click to provide free form text feedback - "This is great!" or "I have a suggestion..."
  • Prompted CSAT - ask users for feedback using "star" a rating and free form text on a set schedule (number of days or sessions)
  • AI Cost Reporting - track spend centrally per app or across all apps

Collaboration

  • Threaded Notes - Comments (Notes) with the ability to have replies (threaded), contain file attachments, and emoji. Use AI voice to text for dictation, and allow cascading soft deletes to hide linked comments anywhere in the comment thread.
  • @mentions - "At" a user within notes for team-scoped applications.
  • Threaded Notes and @mentions works in NetSuite as a SuiteApp and in web apps!
  • Notifications - Alert users they have mentions with a bell icon (just like you'd expect). Display mentions in a notifications window.

AI and Integrations

  • AI Conversation Persistence - AI conversations are saved - never lose a conversation by navigating away from the conversation either intentionally or unintentionally.
  • NetSuite MCP Client - an outbound connector that uses NetSuite's OAuth2.0 for authentication. Need your app to run SuiteQL? Not an issue. Reading and writing records, running reports - anything the NetSuite MCP connection allows you to do in your NetSuite role is supported.
  • An MCP Server is baked into every AM web application. Now you can use Claude CoWork, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot or any other AI platform to interact with an AM web app.
  • Use Stripe Payments in any AM web application - the plumbing is built into the platform, so you can easily accept payments regardless of application. No re-coding, re-implementing, re-testing, battling with multiple security keys.
  • Every app has the ability to send email via a trusted, full-featured email service that comes with analytics and templates.
  • COMING SOON: SMS texting capability available to every AM application. Send SMS texts to users without messy configurations and key management for every individual web app.
  • Integrations are all designed to allow plug-and-play compatibility with different providers. For example, if you needed to integrate into Oracle Fusion, not Oracle NetSuite, we merely create an MCP client that talks to Oracle Fusion and plug that in. Again, no muss, no fuss. Need Salesforce integration? Same thing. Want to swap out an email provider? Also simple.

Queue Management

  • The AM platform always had queues built into it. What it did not have was a way to properly monitor them.
  • Queue Health Checks - It's one thing to know queues exist, but it's another entirely to know it's working. The queue health checks tell you if the queue is accepting jobs properly, and if the job runner is working as well.
  • A Watchdog monitors the Queue Health Checks. If it sees something wrong, you get notified so that failures are not silent.

Application Manager is a robust, feature packed platform for rapid but controlled continuous development and continuous integration. Build simple apps in an hour or two, and complex ones in less than a day - they all have the above capabilities available to them via the platform and SDK.
